As we inch closer to the 11th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, our sister parishes and cities all across Southeastern Louisiana are suffering from this year’s disastrous and devastating floods. Thousands upon thousands of people have lost absolutely everything in a matter of minutes with the floods that began days ago. The flooding throughout has been caused by 2 very large rain events that included 24+ inches of rain and massive water way overflow. With over 30 parishes devastated and 40,000+ homes affected, this has become a national disaster. We are starting to see more national coverage, but Louisiana truly needs more help at this point. Please check out the videos below of the devastation and click on the Red Cross image below to donate and give whatever you can to help. When my family and I evacuated for Katrina, Red Cross was a life saver for all of us. Thanks for your support.
